Wonder Struck

                                            100 :) ha ha ha 5
Ben and Rose secretly wish their lives were different. Ben longs for the father he has never known. Rose dreams of a mysterious actress whose life she chronicles in a scrapbook. When Ben discovers a puzzling clue in his mother’s room and Rose reads an enticing headline in the newspaper, both children set out alone on desperate quests to find what they are missing.

Set fifty years apart, these two independent stories--Ben’s told in words, Rose’s in pictures--weave back and forth with mesmerizing symmetry. How they unfold and ultimately intertwine will surprise you, challenge you, and leave you breathless with wonder. Rich, complex, affecting, and beautiful--with over 460 pages of original artwork.

My favorite part of this book is probably when the the two stories- Ben's(words) and Rose's(pictures) join together, I found it really amazing if there was a 10 i would rate it that but since my ratings don't go that high I will have to give it a 5 :)
I also really loved the illustrations, they were fantastic. I'll list some examples below.

Mary Poppins

                                                       4 :)
When Marry Poppins arrives at their house on a gust of the East Wind and slides up the banister, Jane and Michael's lives are turned magically upside down. Mary takes the children on the most extraordinary adventures - to a funfair inside a pavement picture, to visit Uncle Andrew who floats up to the ceiling when he laughs and on a spectacular trip to see the man-in-the moon

If that blurb got you intrigued then maybe this is the book for you, sure its 762 pages long... but its a great read (took me a week)
My favorite part would have to be when they went to a funfair inside the pavement picture. :)
 I'll attach a link of a sneak peek of the Mary Poppins perforce at her             majesties theatre          |

Magic under Glass

3   =)
Nimira is a music-hall performer forced to dance for pennies to an audience of leering drunks. When wealthy sorcerer Hollin Parry hires her to do a special act - singing accompaniment to an exquisite piano-playing automaton, Nimira believes it is the start of a new life. In Parry's world, however, buried secrets stir.
Unsettling below-stairs rumours abound about ghosts, a mad woman roaming the halls, and of Parry's involvement in a gang of ruthless sorcerers who torture fairies for sport. When Nimira discovers the spirit of a dashing young fairy gentleman is trapped inside the automaton's stiff limbs, waiting for someone to break the curse and set him free, the two fall in love. But it is a love set against a dreadful race against time to save the entire fairy realm, which is in mortal peril.
